It is with great pleasure that Community Grants Associates announces the appointment of Robert Silano to the Board of Directors. As a public safety professional, Mr. Silano has over 30 years of combined law enforcement and emergency management experience. Presently, Mr. Silano is the Chief of Threat Intelligence as a Senior Intelligence Analyst for the Department Emergency Management for the state of California, assigned to the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center in San Francisco, CA. This section supports the Regional FBI Terrorist Task Forces and the Department of Homeland Security Fusion Centers in providing analytical materials and research to these investigative sections. During his career, he has served in a variety of capacities including Special Agent with the United States Drug Enforcement agency both here and abroad, a Senior Manager and Task Force Commander with the U.S. Department of Justice and a police officer with the City of Miami, Florida. Mr. Silano holds a Baccalaureate and Masters Degree and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Class #158,
Mr. Silano will work with the company in the areas of law enforcement and emergency management. His experience in working with local law enforcement will prove invaluable as public safety is a community prerequisite for any other positive development.
