Community Grants Associates staff members have the ability and experience necessary to prepare winning federal, state, corporate and foundation grant proposals. Together, they have worked with clients to secure well over $100 million in funding.
Grant writing involves a partnership with the client. The client owns the project and will be responsible for implementation. The key to this approach involves the use of benchmarks whereby every party understands what they must add to the process. Grant preparation services by Community Grants Associates typically involves:
regular project development meetings- preparation of multiple draft narratives,
- development of a budget,
- completion of forms,
- drafting letters of support and Memorandums of Understanding as needed
- regular consultant and updating of all proposal documents
Even before the above process starts, we will work to make sure that the available funding opportunity is a good fit for your organization. Cognizant that client staff is often working on multiple projects at the same time, it makes little sense to pursue an opportunity that 1) does not fit with the work currently undertaken and 2) has limited chances of success. A key part of our client relationships are to work with available resources strategically to maximize return.
As part of the process, Community Grants Associates will even submit the grant on your behalf if you wish. Our job is to match your local knowledge and ability with the demands of the grant application to create a compelling application that is easy for the funder to understand.
We also strongly believe in educating our clients about the grant identification, writing and submission processes. Far too many opportunities are wasted simply because an applicant fails to adequately prepare to write a grant or fails to grasp the nuances of the process.
